Back in the 1870s a group of local politicians were campaigning to make Dufferin its own county. That meant taking from Wellington, Simcoe and Grey counties to create a new identity. They coined the phrase “Heartland of Ontario” to describe the people and the geographical location. Today, not much has changed….the area is still known for people who care… about the land, quality of life, and honest values. The Heartland shirt is dedicated to all those in Dufferin County who have a big a heart.
